Energy Bars
ENERGY BARS
makes 72 small bars
4 Bananas (approximately 2+ cups)
1 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Bee Pollen (ground)
1 Tbs Spirulina
1/2 cup Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 cup Raw Cacao Nibs (ground)
1/2 tsp Miracle Salt (or sea salt)
4 drops Peppermint
1 pound Dried Fruit (Approximately equal parts Blueberry, Cherry, and Currant, note 1)
3 cups Coconut, shredded
6 cups Puffed Millet (or other puffed grain)
Mix the bananas and maple syrup until the bananas are creamy. Mix in the bee pollen, spirulina, cacao, salt and peppermint. Stir in the dried fruit and coconut, and then the puffed millet.
To Dehydrate:
If you have a dehydrator, spread the mixture out onto solid (Teflex or baking paper) dehydrator sheets and dry for about 6 hours at 110 degrees. The top will then be dry enough to turn them over onto a mesh sheet to continue the drying for another 20-30 hours depending on how you like them. We dehydrate them for about 36 hours total. One batch makes two sheets worth in the large Excalibur dehydrator.
If you do not have a dehydrator, you can spread the mixture out on one or two cookie sheets and put it in the oven on the lowest setting (usually 140 degrees). Leave the door cracked an inch while they are drying.
Once dried, cut them into bars and store them in the freezer for longest shelf life.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE
I will post this in a few days...

Sounds great! If we want to individually wrap them and freeze , whats best? wax paper? Seran wrap? Thanks!

Hello, we've been in a big change... sorry about the slow reply.
I just put as many as I can fit into a ziplock and store them in the freezer. They do not stick together.
Thanks for trying them!
Blessings,
Joy
